MyDoorSign supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month
At SmartSign, not only do we take pride in being a top sign retailer, but also in being a leader in community service. We’ve donated thousands of dollars in signs to schools and nonprofit organizations, and have been a long term supporter of traffic safety efforts and the rights of disabled people.
This month, we have begun a new initiative to raise awareness for a very important cause. October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a time to promote acknowledgement to a disease that impacts so many of us.
We are proud to announce that we will be partnering with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. We will be donating 5% of sales made on MyDoorSign the entire month of October when you go to www.MyDoorSign.com!
We have also created the following infographic to outline some of the statistics of breast cancer today, as well as the steps to perform a self-exam. We hope that this can be beneficial information for anyone out there who may not realize how important it is to regularly check for abnormalities.
BCRF is one of the highest rated breast cancer nonprofits in the U.S., earning four stars on Charity Navigator. The foundation is dedicated to achieving prevention and a cure for breast cancer. They believe that research has the power to end cancer and so they provide funding for cancer research worldwide, to fuel advances in tumor biology, genetics, prevention, treatment, metastasis, and survivorship.
