good item, but not right for my application

The brackets are of good quality and the pair would well as a pair on the edge of a fairly narrow sign (see illustration with the item), however, they aren't compatible for end mounting the 6" x 18" house number signs that I ordered. I called and asked about them before I ordered. Perhaps the person answering my question misunderstood me. SmartSign did promptly agree to issue a credit if I returned the brackets.
